Topkapi Palace Discover
The rarest flowers from all around the world were planted in the Gardens of the Topkapı Palace. Tulips, roses, forget-me-nots, pansies, and other flowers were enjoyment for the senses with the daitiness of their petals, the graduation of their colors and their charming scents. Stylizing gardens and flowers became Gilan's greatest talents. One such example is the tulip design. A much loved motif since ancient times, the tulip took on even greater importance under the Ottomans and gave its name to an era.
